Maize von Mainz is a gorgeous 2 year old German Shepherd. A total stunner, Maize is looking for a forever home with an owner who will adore her and lead her in every which way.  She has a great mid-high energy level and can keep up with an active home;  she loves to get out with you for long, faraway hikes or early morning runs through the neighborhood.  She recently went on one of our monthly hikes and charmed our volunteers thoroughly.  She  loves attention, is very attentive, and will sit or lay down as close to you as she can, all the while giving you loving gazes as you tell her about your day.  She did not receive any formal training in her past life and would enjoy working with you to help her catch up on leash skills, obedience and dog manners.  Maize can be a bit pushy around other dogs but settles down with corrections.  She listens to her people well and always wants to be on your good side.  Maize will be a wonderful addition to a loving home with Shepherd experience that has the heart and drive big enough to match hers.
